Viriya Community Services

Building Resilience, Strengthening Families and Communities

Viriya Community Services (VCS) was founded on March 8, 2001, as a social service agency by Venerable  Sek Meow Ee. As the secular community service arm of Leong Hwa Monastery, VCS serves clients of all  race and religion.

Our core activities align with our vision ‘Caring for you; enhancing quality of life‘ and our mission to  promote fulfilling lives. Guided by these values, we are dedicated to delivering quality social services with  right effort and compassion, making a positive and sustainable impact on society.

The word Viriya is a Pali word that can be translated as Right Effort, symbolising the persistent effort to  endeavour for the benefit of others through our thoughts and actions. It is not just about doing a good  job, but doing it with pure and good intentions.

VCS Vision

VCS Mission

To promote fulfilling lives by providing social services with the right effort and compassion.
